If I could have just a performance truck I would get a 2500hd single cab dually with the 8.1 allison combo. Makes huge power figures with way less money than the 6.0 and you have the allison which has plenty of upgrade potential since thats what the duramax's are rigged with. Get rid of the dual wheels out back and put some 20" wide mickey sportsman radials and your set. Oh and the new HD 14 bolts have a 11.5" ring gear not a 10.5" like the obs trucks.

Thanks for all of the input guys. I ended up getting the SS. I am really happy with it overall, but I am still worried about the trans. We will just have to see how long it will hold up for.

Nice choice... I was going to chime in and say the SS for sure. If I didn't see the need for a 4-door, 7-8 passenger with all the luxo-options, I would have an SS in my driveway. Then again, it's more fun blowing people away in an unsuspecting Denali!!

Let's see some pics!

I've got all those plus a little more. My trans is holding up well. No slippage that I can feel. Its the stock 4L65 with a transgo and servo upgrade.

Good choice on the SS.
