Default Squeaky Window

I got a tint about 3 years back. In the past year the window has decided to get squeaky. (window rubbin against the rubber padding etc.) It screams all bloody hell when its half way down or on its way down.

What lubricant/oil do you guys suggest coating the corner of the window/side padding etc. with, that won't wash off easy/smear/glaze the window and is ok for the tint film?

My dad had this problem in a GrandAm. They ended up replacing the window. He tried everything. The silicone spray lube he put on it made it blurry, but still squeked like hell.

Mine got really slow and squeaked a little. After spraying down the rubber tracks with silicon spray, it flies up now with no noise.

"rubber tracks" as in the "insulation" that the window slides into?

Yes the rubber channels in the door the window seats in.
I picked a can up at lowes. I just happed to see it on a display by the cashier. But I am sure you can pick it up at just about any hardware, autopart, or walmart type store.

i think we might be on a different part.. i'm talking about the "insulation" at the top where it slides into when it is up....

well, the sidetracks is where my problem is, unfortunately im afraid its not cuz of friction either..... I bought a stick of some lubricant, greased it up real good, and no cigar. Ofcourse it doesnt sqeak all hell when rolling it up (sometimes it does, sometimes it doesnt), but it does at 80mph when its halfway down. My pass. side window does this as well....

I'm startin to think its air, and causing a whistling effect (its hard to tell), like the sound u can make with a blade of grass. Halfway down, my windows have a real small gap between the track and window, where air is going through, and thats where it goes nuts. If i push the window towards me, it stops.

Oh well, I cleaned my TB and got rid of the sticky pedal, which ive been planning to do for months, so thats a big relief
