I would do whatever size motor you want to do with good internals so you dont have to worry about that part of it. Good set of heads. Procharger set up for a real turbo set up not an STS. You are going to need a fuel system upgrade. Trannys I would go with a very well built 4l80 or a TH400. Cal Tracs on the rear or if you have the $$$$ then do a 4-link set up. LS1 Edit would be better than Nelson tune. These are just my opinions though and I know a bunch of people will disagree.

RADIX, new trans, eaton posi, gears, cam, some head work, and some nice headers.

The RADIX will build boost faster than any other kit mentioned above hands down. Here's a video of my boost gauge with the RADIX.

Other than no-load conditions, my procharger builds boost just as fast. Your truck sounds nice btw.

No wya ... the Procharger has to spool a little bit.

Welll ... before I say that, let's here some more specs on it.

My boost is almost a direct correlation in throttle position or load.

Thanks.

My truck is a manual trans, so I can ride around in 2nd or 3rd and snap the throttle...damn near instant boost. Your's probably does come in a little sooner, but not by much. Plus, with the new, smaller pulley (16lbs) it really is damn near instant...not much "spool" time at all.
