Most companies now a days make good efi wet kits....I prefer NX, but it's a matter of having a good experience with their products....NOS, compucar, TNT....and so on make good kits. Spray it if it's an option just don't go overboard on a stock internal engine.

If you are gonna use it daily, 150 should be the most you should run. 200 for occasional use ( some will argue this number, but I've seen it done plenty of times with much success).

I'm contemplating a no2 kit to play with. But personally I feel like when I say I have a 13 sec truck it should be able to turn a 13 sec slip with out having to say, I'll turn a 13 just let me go fill my bottle, or being on the strip one night and getting my A$$ handed to me ny a slower cay because my bottle isn't full. Not nocking the NOS guys, its just my preference. The only way I'll spray, and yes I will spray, is to put me in the next second. And only with a sneeky pete. When I'm turning 14.2's, I'll probably spray to get to 13's. To answer your question, I really am not sure how much you can safely spray, but I hear 150. I saw a LS1 F body put down 603hp to the wheels with a 200 shot, and it seemed safe to me, but I really don't know.

This is why FI is better than N2o. It's always there, no bottle to play with and you run your number always. Spray is fun and quite addictive, though.

Sneeky Petes don't last too long and usually are only good for a couple of tenths at best.

Here is my .02, You need to figure out what direction you want to go with your truck. Look around on here and see what some of the guys are running, there is a very wide range of trucks, from a few bolt ons to full drag trucks. Decide where you want to end up with the truck. I have a 5.3 with 60k on it, my goal with this motor is 8.5 - 8.7 in the 1/8th roughly mid 13s. To do this I am going to have to give up some driveabiliy, but not much. Which is very important to me. I don't like N20 it gives you great results, but in my opinion, is only for the drag strip, not a daily street truck. I would get the normal bolt ons first, see if somone trustworthy will install them for you. K&N FIPK, Long tube headers, with y pipe and muffler of your choice, then 3:90 or 4:10 gears and posi, you will need this. That is all I would do until I got home to drive the truck, none of this requires tuning. Then evaluate the truck and decide what is next. You will probably smoke an R/T at this point but I would go with a Vig 2800 stall, transgo shift kit, a Vinci 062 cam with 918's, and a Nelson Tune. At this point, a R/T has no chance and you will scare the hell out of a Lightning, probably not beat one but scare him. That is my goal anyway. After spending that much money, you are probably not going to get much more from a 5.3, and to get more you will have to go to a bigger motor, or FI. Just my opinions, hopefully I will be able to reach my goals with something like this??? Just don't blow all your money at once with out being realistic.
