But the ECM needs to be reprogrammed so it can communicate with the BCM right? Also I think I'm going to need the trans crossmember from the Escalade due to being a different trans.

Yes the ECM will need to communicate with the BCM but I don't think you will need to swap your transmission crossmember. I am using my stock unmodified crossmember.

Thats good to know about the crossmember. I am waiting now for a 2WD engine and trans to come up, I've been looking around and emailing people on ebay to let me know when they get the combo I'm looking for.

I forgot that you are 2WD. John at Speartech had to modify his crossmember by adding a mounting tab about 1" further back than original for the 2WD swap. Based on that I would say you are probably right about needing a new crossmember.

What would be the max HP rating on a 6L90E? At our shop Route 66 Motorsports. We are thinking of taking on such project but with a blown LS2 block in a camaro.

Hey John,

The 6l90 is similar in size to a 4l70? I have a 07 TBSS with a built 4l70 I am getting ready to put 800 horsepower through. Is the 6L90 actually as stout as the 4L80?
