i just pulled some of my plugs out to check them and a couple were almost closed . would this have hurt anything. and could anything cause this? i just put them in while i was at the dyno a month ago. we pulled them straight outta the box and they said to leave the gap alone. so i didnt even look at them. they coulda got banged or something, but i dont know. also all the other ones i looked at are gapped at .025. is that what i need to be running at? they said the gap should be around .029-.030 on the TR7s im running. help please. mods are in sig.

 

Never trust the box. You need to check the gap, cause the box could have been dropped and the end struck bending it in further. Last I was told(which was a majority vote) was mine needed to be gapped ay .045 but I had already gapped them at .065 according to my service manual and haven't fixed them since. I have the NKG TR55 ix cool burn plugs for NOS applications, and they been great. Be safe and go with the .045. Good Luck

 

well i think since im sc, and pushing 10#s of boost im suppossed to gap mine alot closer. like .030.
