I'd just run the ngk tr5 / tr55 with a cam or heads / cam or you can go with the tr6 if you wanted like others stated.

At the moment I am running the tr5's. The cheapest place to get tr5 / tr55 is from your local napa store they are only $1.73 a piece.

oreilly's has only the tr5's but are $1.99 a piece.

The AC Delco's are fine but you pay more and ngk has some plugs that are pretty much the exact same plug for less like if you are comparing the ngk platinum vs Ac Delco platinum the NGK is a couple dollars less per plug, plus or minus. Get whatever works and what you want though.

O'reilly definitely carries the TR5 and TR55 , the only difference is the factory set gap. We carry the full line of NGK plugs, if the store doesn't stock it, it can be ordered easily.

I just replaced the plugs.. Theirs maybe 5k on them. Just needed to know if it's still safe to run factory style plugs with higher compression.. If not which one is a good one- tr6 or something else.

Scotty that's good information.. I read it last night, so that's why I'm asking this question..

Only way to tell is to look at the old plugs. Having any detonation or pinging? Depending on how much more power you're putting, you may need to try stepping down to a colder plug. A set of TR6 copper plugs shouldnt cost more than $20 if you wanted to experiment.

None of the local O'reilly stores around here has them in stock (TR55), you have to order them and I'd rather go to another store that already has them in stock. Every store can pretty much order whatever you want I just don't like waiting lol.

Yeah I just got the TR5's from O'reilly this last time and gapped them a little more.

I highly doubt none of those stores didn't have a 3951 plug as it is very very common. The people you were talking to are probably just stupid, there are a lot of them in the company believe me.
