Why don't you do it yourself? Is it a Transgo kit? If so, I have the video and would gladly make you a copy if you don't have it. The whole purpose of the video is so guys like you and me could install a shift kit ourselves.

Default 300 bucks hi ??

i know 300 sounds kind of high,,but think about it this way.

transgo shift kit or any shift kit that works,,gonna run 100-110 bucks
corvette servo gonna run 20-25 bucks
tranny fluid 5 quarts gonna run 15 bucks

parts total,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,, 135-150 bucks

so if they charge 300,,thats only 150 bucks in labor,,,,,you drop it off
dont get messy,,,,,if it has any leaking problems,,,they will fix it,,etc etc
im an avid do it yourselfer,,,,,dont get me wrong,,i even did the transgo myself before my little burned trans issue,,,,but sometimes its just easier to let someone else do it and not have to worry about it,,,,,im not by any means tryin to flame anyone and this isnt ment to offend anyone please dont get me wrong,,,,,i seen equal amounts of posts on this sight with people tryin to guess at how big a hole to drill,,or they sayin they got to go back in and fix this or fix that,,,,,,,considering i think alot of guys on here that their truck is a daily driver and in our fast moving world cant chance their truck bein down a few days,,,,,,,,,that this MAY be a nice alternative,,,,,,,,,,transmissions is one of the things i dont like to mess with,,
cam install,,,,,lowering,,suspension,,engine stuff,,sure,,but transmissions,,,doin that crap on your back at 1 in the morning and knowing ya got to go to work,,,,,,just is uncomfortable and in hind sight,,,,,even though i did my own shift kit a while back,,,,,,,i would have taken to get it down now that i look back,,,,,,,,,but this is just my humble opinion ,,hope ya guys can see it from my perspective as well,,,,,,,,,,,,off topic a bit,,,but they guys on this sight are wholly more capable than the guys on some vette sight i was lurkin around a week or so ago,,,,,,,,they were even scared to put in160 t-stat,,and arguing over what wax is the best to use for best high speed wind resistance,,,,,,anyhow gents ,,sorry it was so long,,,,have a great day

jason in so cal
