Default Sorry but one more HPtuner question.

In my sig you see my truck and its pretty much stock
Now i would get Hptuners and have just the SS catback and a CAI I really dont plan on getting anything else anytime soon what are some good ideas for Hptuners like timing and Shift points?
And 50-75 removing the T-M would be pretty safe eh?
Any other improvments i can do with Hptuners?

Yeah, you got the gist of it there...

I can't really comment on the TM stuff - I think it all has to do with how much you like to gamble.

The things you can do with even a basically stock truck will keep you busy for a long long time.

Just going through the timing table will take HUNDREDS of hours to do, if you're really picky like me. I've easily spent about 100 hours building timing tables, and I'm currently on my third generation here. There is no real set of rules, it's all trial and error, from what I've gathered over this last 8 months of tuning experience.

Then you can get into Speed Density tuning, that's pretty extensive... and you'll probably want to do wideband tuning, which seems a bit easier, but will easily take a good handfull of WOT runs to nail down.

First off, you'll probably want to nail down the LTFT's to a negative number. I still stand by the fact that I think changing your IFR (injector flow rate) table is still the simplest with no noticeable side effects to me. It's probably the easiest thing to do.

If you want to go advanced, this is where you start SD tuning, where you remove the MAF, kill some codes, disable Closed Loop, and go through this elaborate proces that I still don't comprehend more than 75%.

Once that's nailed, fix your WOT fueling. At least get your 02's around 880-900, or 890-900 if you're NA. I can't comment on FI or Juice.

From there, you start working on your timing table. I was seeing a max of 13* of timing in some areas of my table - I'm now fairly consistantly pushing 26-28* in the same cells, so you can see that it'll take a while to progressively "push the envelope" to see how high you can go before you start getting knock.

I almost forgot, but there is the simple stuff you might want to change like idle speed, speed limiters, rev limiters, and WOT shift points. They're all very straight-forward.

The tranny stuff is pretty straight forward. I really changed up my Normal tranny mode to be more friendly with my driving habbits and cam. I got downshifts happening at much lower throttle openings, and the converter clutch isn't locking until much later, so in general, the truck feels MUCH peppier and MUCH more responsive. I have my tow/haul completely reprogrammed with no TM, and no converter clutch lockup. It makes goofing around a lot of fun.

In the programming section of this site, there will be a link to an HPT repository. You can download one of my bins up there and check it out.

I'll have to get my latest up there one of these days.
