something i always wanted to try...
i see guys go about 40mph, then put the car in nuetral, rev it up real high then slam it back into drive and peel out. i always wanted to try it but was to afraid of screwing something up. would this do anything bad to my truck if i did it?

Why would you want to do that? It dumps a lot of load on the rest of the drive train all at once. Its a good way to hurt stuff. Just build a truck with ***** and you can do the same thing by just hitting the loud.

just get a 5.3 and you'll be able to do it with no problems
seriously though, thats bad for the trans. if you think these POS transmissions fall apart fast just from being driven hard try a few of those neutral drops

You are kidding right?
Anyway, I can get scratch sometimes by dropping into 1st around 35-38MPH but you have to be ready to slip it into 2nd fairly quickly. Works great for low mph races though
