Default Some issue installing LSXRT intake and rails, need help!

Started to install my lsxrt today and ran into a couple issues that I needed some assistance with.

First off, I basically need to seal a hole. I bought this used and the previous owner had a fuel rail mounted evap. The mounting location for my evap is directly next to the existing hole and covers it partially. Below are some pics.

The first idea was to put a piece of tape under the hole from the inside and then fill with epoxy, but not sure how that would hold up under boost, or if it possibly might get sucked in..otherwise, I am not sure if I can convert to the 07+ style easily or if there is a better way to plug it.

My second issue is my fuel rails. The mounting points for them don't seem to line up with the injectors. First, it seems the injectors are too tall for the rails, pic below.

I also noticed the injectors wouldn't sit straight with the mounts there. I took it off the manifold and they don't seem to line up either..pic:

Not sure what to do there without making new mounting brackets...

If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated!

i used plasti weld epoxy on an intake and it worked well. as far as the brackets i looks either that you can "grind" using a dremel to make up that space but i had that issue and i shifted the injectors a little to give them a slight angle between the rails and the intake and the holes should line up.

and as far as the gap from the rails to the intake he didnt send you spacers. all they are is a extra thick washer. take the whole intake to the hardware store and see if they have a couple of thick washers that will fill that gap.

There are some spacers that the instructions showed being used somewhere else, but they won't be used for there intended application and should work to bring the bracket up.

Not sure about putting the injectors on an angle. Can you post a pic of your setup?

I assumed this intake would bolt right on without a hitch...

this intake is a pain in the ***. im no longer running the fast rails. didnt like way they are installed. brackets sucked, didnt like the spacers, and its way easier to use the stock square rails.

i think i may have the spacers left over let me look. if i have all four ill give them to you. ill check in a little while. got some ammo i need to get shipped out then off to muck stalls and feed the horses.

Looks like there might be a cover you can screw over that open hole...?
