I think most of the time it's true that if you have a 220/220 cam and you can get it on a 112 or a 114 - the 114 will be better for a boosted or juiced motor...

I've been finding out that the LSA is just one part of the whole behind the scenes formula. The typical 220/220 112 specs are kind of just the "cover of the book" type of thing.

In my opinion.

You're playing to much of a guessing game. Here's a good read.

Closing the intake sooner will cut back on reversion, yes, but it also shortens the induction cycle. If you are running enough boost pressure you can hold the intake valve open longer on the closing side because the boost should be able to overcome the force of the piston, but only for a little while. The problems with opening the intake sooner are possible flow reversal
Long durations patterns aren't needed, on a max of 6500rpms. Split, possibly. But, the induction is forced so trying to group as much air as possible, may not be necessary. Depends on how much boost your running and at what rpms.

Yep. Once we look into camshafts more, everyone starts to notice that .05 doesn't mean ****.

The lsa is a by-product.

The choosing of the valve events will play the role in the amount of power is made. PERIOD.
i had a procharger and when i talked to the manufacturer directly, they had three trucks they tested individually, one with a 112 lsa, one with 114 lsa, and one with a 115 lsa. the power numbers they got scared me away from the 112 lsa immediatly. it didnt make hardly any more power. just had a good sound. the 114 and 115 lsa cams made a substantial amount of more power throughout the powerband. all of the cams had the same lift and duration of each other. also the one with the 112 lsa had much less consistancy of power that was made. when bleeding off boost it would make more and less throughout the powerband.very jumpy line on dyno.

that is what i am getting at. they have done a bunch of testing and the higher lsa cams work better in boosted applications. where is bigtex here.
