-A 112lsa, or of that nature. Give or take.
Pull in more area under the curve, with a tighter lobe seperation angle, BUT maintain minimal overlap. Yep, its possible. Retard the camshaft a few degrees, keeps valve events same, but held open longer. Thats an option.
and what the **** is good overlap?

Lots of timing + boost =

I was refering to the 112LSA. Its tried and true you need a higher LSA.
The setup will tell you what it wants. I can give examples.
Their are setups that call for 106 lsa's. If a guy adds, boost he doesn't automatically need a 114, 116, or a 118lsa. It knocks the power band way out of proportion.

i do realize it all. with a 112 lsa it will bleed boost. with a 114 to 115 lsa it will bleed less boost thus making more power. period.
Your looking at this all wrong.
The lsa is a by-product.
The choosing of the valve events will play the role in the amount of power is made. PERIOD.

OK, where's BigTex?
ALL fuel injected applications with hydraulic roller cams use higher LSA cams.
ALL carbed applications with solid roller cams use lower LSA cams. A 108 LSA cam in an old carbed 350 isnt all that radical, but a 108 in a FI engine it will hardly idle and lope like crazy.
LSA is a huge factor in valve events and powerr band. Yes a 112 will make more power low and mid than a simular 114, but with a 112 leaking more boost out than a 114, and the fact that the timing CAN NOT be too agressive in a boosted application the 114 will make more power.

If you throw a wide lobe seperation at it. It effects the valve events. This may cause a loss in power. It depends upon the setup and what it calls for.

Here's a quote for you...
Yeah I'm a baby and went crying for some back up. But, your ignorance was pissing me off and he gave me his thoughts.
The last Pro Charged 370CID SB Ford engine I cammed made 1632HP at 8400 rpm. LSA was 113. There is no reason for a 118 lobe sep.

uh thats not fuel injected--we dont spin to 8400 rpm;s --and we damn sure arent fords.
i thought all boosted applications needed a 114-119lsa?
at least thats what snake eater was saying. you didn't disagree, so i'd have to assume you thought so as well.
