It looks like the SAFE races are back and Carlsbad will be open @ 8:00 am for some good racing. The SAFE sponsors tend to keep fairly good track prep and Sunday morning racing rules at with the early morning ocean air.

We have already lined up some of the local F-bodies so the turn out should be good for racing or watching. If you were ever interested in doing some moding as well and considering a local shop Mark from Andy's Auto Performance will be in attendance.

Wish I could make it, but I have to pickup my brother-in-law at the airport in the am and I have a wedding to go to later in the day. If I did go, I would probably just be watching, I think my tranny is on its last leg.

Hey Richard, have you ever had any experiences with JET transmissions? I could probably get one for very cheap, if not free, and if I did that it would be cheaper than having mine rebuilt. I pretty much decided to keep my truck and mod some more, so maybe next time I will see you at the track.

 

Glad to hear that you are still keeping the truck. I don't know if you remember Dan's Z28. He has the Black 93' with red stripes, the cowl hood, Bear brakes, 17" Torque Thrust II's and every possible polished/plated/poweder coated engine compartment component? Well he has a JET tranny. He runs 11's on it but has had it rebuilt twice since its purchase in 98'. It's not too bad a tranny and definately good for free.
