Default So whats the deal on a electric water pump.

I have read about them on a few diff forums. But still unable to decide if it is worth it or not to get one,in fact I have a chance to get one fairly cheap. So to you the truck guys is this a worth wile set up, can it be run on a daily, does anybody on here have one?
Thanks John

i'm not sure either but i have seen what your talking about. this could be a good solution for someone looking to do an LS6 or similar intake swap. i would think that if you have an electric pump and electric fans, you could eliminate that entire pulley and bracket and make more room for the throttle body. just an idea, good question though i would like to know as well.

meh, for the 8rwhp you may get from them, i wouldn't spend that much money on one. Mezierres (*sp) makes a pump that you can use for DDing but it still wouldn't appeal to me. I'd just keep the OEM pump

I'd be all for it if they weren't so damn pricey. I know alot of car guys that dd with those and don't have any problems.

Thats another thing, it would make the ls6 or fast intake a easy swap, by the time you would buy the car acc it would be close to the same price as the pump. That with electric fans would clean up under the hood quit a bit, get a few extra hp from the deal, maybe i'm wrong. hmmm
