its about 3 mpg.......thats why i bought one.....im cheap i couldnt really tell much of a difference in the motors just slightly more tourqe. rcsb 4x4 18 city and 21.5 on the highway...the 5.3 wont do that

What's a piston rod? Connecting rod maybe? or is there such thing as a piston rod? Maybe I am a moron.

If you think $800 is bad, in 2000 when I bought mine, it was $1500 for the 5.3.

well it is like $1500 over the 4.3, but only 800 over the 4.8
