Thumbs up So the ole 2 step is in... :)

Started yesterday but it got dark on me, I didn't feel like hunting wires down outside last night since I couldn't get into the garage i decided I would hit it after work. So I did.. found the wires I needed, and hooked it up.. Took my time, hid all the stuff( I like to keep **** neat) Only thing I have to do is replace the white ties with black ones.. I am really not a fan of the loom, but what else do you do with all the freaking wires... Turned out nice and clean.. All the wires are in a factory loom, all hiddin..And it sounds OOOOO so sweet.. Vids soon.. Like I said it might not make it go any faster but it is cool, will def help the launch at the track...

It is much better for a turbo or manual app, it allows the turbo to build a more boost, allows you to set a set point to launch at for a manual.. I can get about 2300 on it on street tires.. Basically for me I just wanted it to make noise.. But will help getting a good set launch for me at the track..

from my understanding it cuts the spark, but still dumps fuel thus allowing to build more heat/more boost for FI apps like John said...

YEs it does cut spark, but still fuels the cylinders, so it ignites later then normal which spools a turbo up much faster.. However i don't think the turbine wheels like too too much of it.. I can tell you that the AFR is super rich a lil after I do it, under normal drive, but naturally clears rite up when i am into it after I let of the brake

They work pretty decent on a supercharged setup as well. One of my old toys had a P.I. 3800 stall converter to go along with the YS trim Vortech. I could footbrake it to about 3200 or so (so I used a 3000 rpm limit on first step), which made 5psi of boost (out of a possible 18psi, lol). Made for fun launches.
