I'll be pulling the 4.8 soon. I've got a 6.0 LQ4. I've got the LS3 heads and L92 intake on the way. I called Scoggin Dickey and they've got the LS3 head gaskets, bolts, electrical harness for the injectors, and Nick Williams throttle body for a great price.

What more do I need for a 2000 Silverado, other than a 4L80(lol)? The LQ4 block is a 2001 motor. Will the throttle body linkage bolt right up to the NW throttle body, and are there any other considerations?

 

you'll have to make a bracket to use the cable driven throttle body, like the one i made!! did they spect your compression out? what will it be? are the heads just stock? what cam you planning on using?


i'm knocking on the door of 500 rwhp and my level 2 tranny from performabuilt is holding its own just fine!!!

 

Heads are stock, new in box. The 6.0 is stock. I'm running a "03" Z06 cam. I believe piston to valve clearance will be fine.
