I'd like to get a set of long tube headers for my truck but I'd hate to pay someone to install them or have them mess the truck up (I can't weld). Anyone installed the LT's and limped over to an exhaust shop with open headers? Just wanting to know if that would work.

That's how I did it. Sounds real cool. It won't idle though, so you have to drive with both feet. At least in my case it wouldn't.

I got mine on today and i was lucky enough to get to use the rack at the exhaust shop to put them on. I also had my entire exhaust redone while I was at it.
