I am running 5.3 heads on my lq4 they have the bigger valves and have been hand ported by pete @ cnc cyc heads in florida.
just make sure u have the fuel for the higher comp.

what is your compression ratio with that setup?

I Really Don't Know It Is Some Where In The High 10. I Was Told.

I calculate a LQ4 with stock 5.3 heads and .060 gasket to be 10.56:1. Mill those .030 and you get ~11.13:1 with the same gasket.

Edit: made a mistake on the mill calculation.

OK Kenny. figure this one out if you will. Stock LQ4 with 241 castings shaved .020. Thanks
And what would it be with stock 241's?

.020 off 241 with .060 gasket = ~10.26:1 Same configuration, no mill = 9.93:1
