snapped my underdrive pulley? common?

Default snapped my underdrive pulley? common?

hey guys, reguardless i gotta fix it now but have u ever heard of this happening? had this slp pulley on my 08 tbss n put it on my exsb silverado, which has way less power but the other day i raceda 2dr newer si civic on the highway beat him up to bout 35 to 90 everytime, we kept goin til like 105ish everytime before letting off, besides the point the next morning left to work an felt a clunkin in my steering then the belt started squeelin, after i popped the hood an the slp udp way just wabblin all to hell n of course i didnt make it a mile goin back home an the belt came off, seems the black rivved part has came off the alum. lookin shaft!?!?!? of course gotta get the truck back to the shop, i'd hate to swap the stock pulley back on but dont have the money for a new udp, its more than a yr old an probley has 10k miles on it from a 375awhp tbss n this silverado which is just full bolt ons n a built trans w/ 3600stall conv. (plannin for a cam sumtime in the far future) I STILL HAVE THE RECEIPET FOR THE UDP but doesnt say anything bout a warrenty, really ill fix it no matter what but u guy ever heard of this happenin before? any other udp u suggest? thanks for any input

id at lease get a hold of the company you bought it from and let them ackowledge what happened

There actually have been several cases here where guys have had their UDPs come apart. I don't remember the brand trend but IIRC they stopped sale and came out with a new design. Can't remember who it was... I know I had one on my '03 Tahoe back in '03.

Good to see nothing crazy went on after it gave.
