I have the silver wheels that most LS model silverados come with. I have the firestone steeltex tires on the 235/70/16. My scale might have been off but I doubt it. My dad was correcting me saying that it was 52 pounds but I thought it was 42.

click on my name, then click on my homepage. Centerline has 3 rims in their lightwieght series, Lotsofun has one of them also. Mine are supposed to be 21lbs per rim, but were actually 28lbs. Then with my tire on and with air, I weighed it and it was 62lbs.

tbyrne, Centerline has a 22" Mach I rim that is 8.5"s wide and weighs 21lbs a piece. I have seen one in a shop here in town, and picked it up cause I refused to believe it. It actually does weigh next to nothing. Made my rims seem heavy, and is supposed to handle 1995lbs per rim. Don't look that great though. Check it out at Centerlines website!

20's made my truck really slow:
Stock tires.- 255/70/16 1/4 mile.- 15.86 sec
Aftermarket.- 275/55/20 1/4 mile.- 16.72 sec

Reaction was .554 with stock wheels and .560 with the 20's

Diameter:
Stock-30.06in Aftermarket-31.91in that's 1.85 taller

I really don't know the exact weight of the rims though.

Both runs where with a temperature of 90°

The diameter of the 235/70/16 is 28.95in
The diameter of the 265/50/20 is 30.43in
That's 1.48 taller

Hope this help and good luck with your new rims.

hey The Mexican where did you run your truck at. Because I ran mine in Monterrey at the Autodramo just for the hell of it and ran a 15.39. It was in December and with my stock tires. My mods are Gen 2 intake, bbk 80mm throttle body, tb spacer, 160 stat, tb bypass, flowmaster exhaust, and the temp was about 70. My truck is a extended cab sportside 99 silverado. This winter I will be in Tx again and hope to run in Edinburg.

I8AHEMI I ran my truck in the Autodromo too, I try to go every Wednesday.

Man those are pretty good times, didn't you have traction problems, that track sucks. I've never been in the Edinburg track, maybe I'll try it in the winter too.

How does the bbk 80mm TB worked for you, is it really worth it?
I'm planning to do some mods but I'm not sure what would be the best choice: get the stock TB ported or buy the BBK.

Yeah I also went on a wednesday. There were a few new body silverados running but none were extended cab that day but mine. As far as the bbk 80mm, I dont think its worth it. I hear it works better with NOS or a Supercharger. I noticed very little difference, but I am gonna sell my 20s and get me a damn charger!

My stockers weighed 51 and my Centerline 20's weigh 64.
