Alright well I know I need better converter now, and I really appreciate everyone’s input in regards to it!

So say I get 'the' converter, what is the next reasonable move? (Besides probably needing a new transmission) NNBS/TBSS intake? Shift kit? 4.10?

It is soooo hard for me to not turbo this truck, but I just do not want to go that route with this truck until I have something else that I like better for my DD. Ugh! It’s just such a heavy PIG too, don't get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for what everyone is doing with their heavy trucks! But sometimes I just feel like I am wasting money trying to make this PIG haul…

Did I read that right? Your 2wd weighs over 5000 lbs with driver? That seems on the heavy side for a 2wd, I mean I know it's an ext cab.....

My AWD ext cab with the heavy *** factory 20s, a half to a quarter tank of gas and me in the truck weighs 5100 lbs.

I'll try to weigh it again this weekend. I weighed it on digital scales, I don't remember gas tank status. It is a loaded SLT, but I am assuming your SS is loaded also. I'm 155 lbs so don't go thinking im the pig lol Only thing I added that weighs anything is a rear swaybar.

Well guys, I didn't make it to the scales to weigh my truck (again) this weekend; I'll try to over the next couple of days.

On a side note, I did pick up a like new catback for $300 this weekend.
-Corsa 14280 dual rear exit, twin tip pro-series. (Going to make this into a dual side exit behind both rear tires, with some mandrels) To replace a Mac TK4455 that the muffler that has come apart internally and is rattling like crazy.

I loooovveeed the way the Mac looked and sounded (other than being a litttttle too loud). I hope this Corsa does not disappoint.

I am keeping my eyes peel'd for a converter in the classifieds for the right price.
