Default Silverado brake rotors, do they last?

I have had problems with my 2002 Camaro's rotors warping and I know this is a problem area for Camaros. I'm wondering if Silverado's have this problem as well with stock rotors? Mine is a 2003 reg cab 1500. Thank you for the help!

I have personally had that problem but some guys from the boards say that with the proper care they should be fine. I guess it all depends on how you drive.

Im pretty hard on my truck and warped the front rotors so easily it really pissed me off. Since I have put on wholesaledirect's drilled/slotted stock size rotors and im gonna see how those work. The drills and slots supposidly take away braking power but I can tell you that my truck stops just as good if not better than before and stay cooler too.

My rears warped on my Z71 also. No towing or crazy stops, they just sucked stock. I'm going to be ordering my new ones from Wholesale Direct within about 10 days.

Also 2 piston rear calipers and stainless lines.

Only under severe bracking at high speeds or with a load. At least thats my experience.

I have a 99 Z71 rcsb, and I'm on my 3rd set of rotors in only37K. They didn't warp, just rusted to sh*t. Had them replaced once under warranty about 3 years ago, and just did them again about a month ago, but this time I put on Praise Dyno Pads, Slotted Rotors and E-Brake shoes. Stops great, no noise, very little dust. There is a TSB about installing mudflaps in the rear wheel wells to help keep mud and snow, etc. from splashing on to the rear brake assemblies and causing premature wear/corrosion.

most of the time warping is caused by a hard stop. then sitting at a stop light, heating up more that part of the rotor resulting in warp.

when i stop real hard and come to stop i shift into neutral and get off the brake pedal, then **** into drive when i take off.
