Default Shredded a serpentine belt today

I was on my way to work this morning, to take the chiefs exam, when it sounds like I'm running over a patch of rocks or pebbles on the road; only the noise doesn't go away. I immediatly look at my oil pressure gauge (good to go), then water temp (good to go), everything looks fine, instrument wise.
Nosie is still there though. So I put my hazards on, pull over, pop the hood, the engine is still running, wtf, everything looks fine, although it was still dark outside. So I hop back in, get off at the next exit, pull into the Mobil and sure as ****, the belt is shredded. Hmmm.
350 miles on the gates belt, sounds like a dud to me. So I call Magnacharger, get the part #, go to Napa, $45 later (that's with a military discount) I'm on my way.
Replaced the belt, all is well.
Any Radix Homies ever get the same thing?
I'm thinking faulty belt, as 350 miles just isn't that many.
thoughts?

Wow. Maybe it was faulty. Could you tell if it was wearing funny on one of the pulleys?

I've got a 100 mile round trip commute. I think I'll carry a spare belt just in case.

wear was even. The paint wasn't even worn off the radix pulley at any angle or tooth. I eye-balled the pulley alignments, everything looked dead nuts.

FYI, if this happens to you and you want to get another gates belt, Napa's belts are just relabeled gates belts, infact, the back of the cardboard sleeve, says made by Gates

I like gates lifetime warranty. I'm on my 4th A/C belt for the price of one. At first I thought it was a ba belt, then the 2nd, I thought gates sucked, then after #3 I found out the A/C tensioner was worn out. The pulley was wobbling, bearing shot.
