I'm pretty sure a 99 6.0L will swap in fine since it has the longer crank. Either you do a different trans or get a 4l80e crank spacer. I'm sure it'll work then. I just wonder about the pilot bearing mating onto the input shaft of the trans.

All you need is the spacer and bolts from GM. As has been mentioned the '99 & '00 4.8L models had the longer crankshaft for use with the manual trans., however the '01 and up models were still available with the manual, yet used the short crankshaft in conjunction with the spacer. (Of course the early 6.0L also had the long crank to work directly with 4L80).
