should i get ported heads?

Default should i get ported heads?

I am doing swap in a 1979 chevy nova, 2004 4.8 going to run tsp stage 2 high lift cam 212 218 .600, with truck efi and hooker exhaust manifolds with 4l60e with 1600 to 2000 stall with 3.42, should I get ported?

If they are cheap enough, maybe.

Otherwise you could just mill the stock heads and clean them up or find some 243/799 take offs that are already the best flowing stock cathedral port heads out there.
