Default Should I get LS1 heads?

Like the title says. Should I get some LS1 heads for my 5.3? What is the improvement for this head over the stockers? The motor I got is out of a 99 BTW.

wouldnt they need to be milled considerably to bring his compression back up to normal 5.3 status?

if they were worked on and milled, then yes but just slapping some ls1 takeoffs on a 5.3 is not the best combination for NA power. they would probably work pretty good for a FI app. but not NA.

No.
Yes.
Either go with WCCH 5.3 heads or have yours worked but I would make head work one of the last mods.

If you don't want to drop alot of cash i'd get Richard to work yours for you.
If you don't care about the cost that much like myself you should get the Edelbrock 5.3 heads he can build for you.

I am in the Army, so I care about cost.
What should I have done to them. I was planning on a Port and pollish and maybe a shave.
