I have been tossing around the idea lately of putting a cam in my truck. It is a 2007 NBS CC 2WD with a 4.8l. The thing is i drive about 100 miles a day to and from work. Would it be a smart move on my part? I like the truck as it is just wish it had more pep and wouldnt mind a little lope either. Cam recomendations would be great if yall think this is a good idea.
Thanks

Let's get a little more info bud, are you willing to swap converter? What gears, what are your goals. If you're just looking for some nice gains on a daily driver that sees a lot of miles like yours, and you want to retain the stock converter, consider a cam like mine (in sig). Works great with factory converter and nice gains throughout the RPM band.
Moving this to the GM Engine and Exhaust Performance section with all of the other cam recommendation threads lol

4.56 gears really woke up the 4.8 in my truck. It runs 14.9 92mph with no cats, catback and a mild tune. Not blazing fast but its a lot quicker than stock.
the Comp 206 cam on 112 would probably make you happy.
