Default Shorty headers

Will hooker super comp shorty LS1 headers work on a 2000 5.3 truck? I know they will bolt up but will the y pipe off the truck or clearance issues do anything for troubles? Thanks

Shorties suck, you should get some long tube headers.

Lol, I don't know, I just know long tubes are better. Is there some reason you want shorties?

Lot of work and fab work for little gain, the factory exhaust is a pretty good shorty.

He's right ... shorties are a waste of time/money. I wouldn't put a shorty on if it was given to me if that's what your getting at. I would turn around and sell it or trade it for something else.

Personally .. I like TOg's. I would get them coated at a local shop though, I was able to save some cash that way.
