Default Short Belt Mod?

So I read about guys deleting their power steering and running their accessories like this

This spins the water pump backwards. Does the motor cool okay or is this not for street use?

The water pump spins counter clockwise. That routing will work. But I doubt the gain is much.

If power steering took away 50 h.p., I'd still have it. Ain't. No. Way.

Lol I agree. Power steering on the street in anything over 3500lbs = necessity.

Hell my geo weighs 1700lbs and if I'm not moving quick enough its a bitch to steer. Double or triple the weight, I couldn't even imagine..

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but I see it spinning the water pump in the proper direction.

You're right, I was looking at it wrong. Actually I was looking at the belt routing diagram wrong, I thought it went over the top of the water pump pulley.

Dredging this thread up from the depths. Im interested in doing a ps bypass for my swap project. Anyone ever figure out the belt length for this?
