Thanks ther's a metal shop a few miles away who made a simple 90 bend into a peice of stainless I had.

Next time it's going to be aluminum because I can't polish the stainless with my equip, too dam hard.
Aluminum can be done with various grit DA pads on my sander(w water)and a buffing pad with some wenol.

I'm going to have bauer do my valve covers in the fall to match the tb.
The oil spout has to be cut off and re-glued after the oven.

I would love to get the alt/steering pump bracket powdercoated black or something because it's so dam big and ugly.
Polished would be cool or smoked grey.

Why are the Shaners so much cheaper than the BBK's??????? $159.00 shipped! Is the price difference because if the core return and the BBK you keep the original???

Shaners, Bauers, jantzers are ported and polished stock units. Some offer the option of powdercoating like I had mine done. BBK are completly differant units made by bbk. Your intake plenum is only so big so regardless of throwing a huge bbk tb on there I don't see much gain to warrant the cost over just having your stock unit dressed up.

Lets say you order a TB, They ship you out one and than your return yours so the next person will get it ported etc..with little to no down time. The core charge or exchange speeds up the process.

I sent Bauer my tb instead of doing the core trick because my truck was off the road.

My cable tb was alot better throttle response and felt great with the upd and cam. The install was simple with a new gasket.
I'm not sure how it's going to help on a drive by wire tb.
Hodgee and some others hand ported theres and they came out nice.
I mostly did my for looks while hopefully added a little more crispness to the throttle.

The drive by wire was also my question.

Our TB's appear to be a bit larger than the cable TB's. I'd like to see some dyno and flow numbers on the drive by wire TB's.
