Default SES light, & Can't Tune!?!

Well tonight I'm cruising around and my SES light comes on. So I call my guy that tunes my truck and tell him to meet me so we can see what the light is for. He come over, plugs his comp. in, and NOTHING!!! Computer was acting like it wasn't even hooked up to my plug in. Thought it could be the comp, so hooked it up to his car to see if it would work, and it did. Went back to my truck to try again, and still nothing. He doen't know what it is not reading it. Also, my cig. lighter isn't working. I tried to look up the fuse for it, but found nothin. The way these things are wired up, I'm wondering if the cig. lighter has something to do with it. You know, like the cruise and all that other kinda **** goes through your stereo, I'm wondering if my plug in is wired with my cig. lighter some how. I don't know, but it's pissin me off, and I can't figure out what the SES light is, and I can't DO **** about it, because we can't hook the comp up. Anyone ever had this prob.???? I'm usually the guy that will have something happen that most people have never heard about. I think this is another one of those things!

Thanks for ya'lls help,
Austin

Diagnostic port get its power form the cig lighter fuse. You need to replace the fuse for it. I think it's in the fuse box under the hood.
