you put it in and it expands, you then unscrew it from the inside out and it will take care of the threads. you could order it from the auto parts store (not vautozone). they are stocked in the warehouse. i had to use it on two different spark plug holes.

they sell the kits at Ace Hardware, did you do it with the heads still on straight up without having to take off the valve cover and mess with other stuff?

i didnt remove anything to do it. i stuck the thing into the spark plug hole, expanded it, and unscrewed it. it fixed the cross threading problem and the plug went in. i know there were a couple of threads gone but its been going strong for 30,000 miles.

alright so i bought a 14mm thrad tap and that isnt working. so pretty much im putting grease all over the end of a q-tip and trying to swap it out.....hopefully it goes well, if not, here comes helicoil or 7cylinders
