Default sending unit/fuel pump????

for about a year now my fuel gauge has been broken, it goes up and down , shows empty when my tank is full, then shows full. i finally had enough and im ready to fix it. on our trucks does the sending unit and fuel pump come together? also if it doesnt can i just get a sending unit? my pumps had been making a high piotch whining noise at times, could i replace it with a walbro? and what it involved in doing this with an aftermarket pump?

You need a new sending unit too i believe!

Heres the PN for summit of the model you need
SUM-250103

see my post for posted instructions

the summit fuel pump is made by walbro and is a good bit cheaper than holley and b&k which are made by walbro as well

if your fuel guage is working correctly then you do not need a sending unit, just the pump!
