Default SCORE! got a 6.0

Picked up a 6.0 last night, complete for 300 bux only downfall, it dropped a valve and put a small hole in the piston, fine with me, because i was wanting a builder anyways....and the price was good too. Should i just stock rebuild with a cam or go stroker? money is not really an issue because im doing this over the long haul till my truck is paid off in a few years, so submit your build suggestions, thanks guys

sounds like you got a good deal if its an 06 sounds like it came outta a HD easiest way to tell since you have to pull the heads anyways is to look at the pistons if there dish its a lq4 if there flat tops its a lq9 and if it is a 06 its got the full float wrist pins

You could get some current ETs. Swap over parts from current & compare ETs to see your gains after 6.0L swap. See what ya really gained from extra cubes, sorta thing. Or if that doesn't interest you, go stroker. Call it a day.

look at the wrist pins since the motor is allready apart if they float in side of the piston were the conecting rod meets its a 05 up if they dont its a 04 down thats the only way i can think of doing it
