If you are gonna spend that kind of money....go with EFILive

We also implemented the complete OBD-II standard and support 79 sensors with our core tool--without enhanced interfaces (which we do have for Ford and GM) not AutoTaps 32. We also have built in bi-directional support and a UI that is unmatched. We support all three platforms (PC/Pocket PC/Palm), wireless, and with ECU reprogramming in testing now. Come to our web site and see why "other" scan tools vendors are lowering the prices (read: halfing them). Theres a better mouse trap in town. www.autoenginuity.com

I would however like to know EXACTLY how it is that EFILive is able to scan as many PIDS as it does at the rate that is does if the protocol doesn't support those speeds.....I WAS incorrect with the 4hz refresh rate, but 8-10hz isn't that much faster so real-time PID scanning would still be limited to about 3 simultaneous PIDS (more than that and gaps in the data would be too great to be usefull)
Again, sorry Jay, please keep us informed on the progress and developmenst you make to the AutoEnginuity Scan-tool

If you want to run your scan tool live to give you O2, KR, LTFT etc, you should seriously look at the Ease platform (http://www.obd2.com/personal/personal_scantool.htm). They will record and let you view 68 live parameters at the same time. It will cost you more, but there is not a more complete scan tool for personal use.
