Default safe rev limter with the new 6.0 LY6 on the 2500hd sierra

my friend have a 2008 2500hd 6.0 VVT sierra...i know they arent DOD engine

so i programmed his truck with the diablo predetor and i sit the rpm shift points at 6400rpms

i sit the injectors @ 3% +
and advanced the spark with 3%

i know the calcualting of the sparke should be in degrees but the diablo uses %

he runs 93 octane gas..is this a safe tune? or should i lower the shift points to 6200-6100rpms?

There's no point in revving it that high. It probably makes peak power 1000 rpm lower than that.

Well, you probably will want a custom tune to get any real power out of it.....

That being said, I would not "richen" the injectors, I would lean it out.... Esp on a 6.0

that was ugly

looks cool at first, but seeing the same rev limiter crap would get boring . . .

What's the point? Burn them down until they pop ?

its actually how fast u can pop ur tiers , how well u spin or drift what ever u call it .. also if u shift at high gears and still manage to make the tiers spin.. they have a point system they go on also there are judges if theres a competition,

Sandman.. if he uses 93 octain just use the default settings that came with the programmer... or just get a custom tune
