Default ???'s differences in 5.3

I've got a 2002 5.3 for sure now. I need to know what the diffences in the LM7 and what I have, a L59. The LM7 (323 cubic inches) has the vin# T and the L59 (322) has the vin# Z.

Can anyone tell me what the differences in the two motors are?
Is the L59 compatible with my LM7 computer, accessories, and transmission.
I need to know if it will work so I can bust into it and start the rebuild and engine swap next weekend.

Thanks for any info you guys can give.

Come on guys, has anyone ever seen this before? I just found out about the two different 5.3's today. Please, can anyone tell me if the two are identical? I need to begin the build up.

The L59 is a "Flex Fuel" engine capable of running a high percentage of alcohol in the fuel. To do this the engine has a fuel composition sensor and larger injectors that use a different wiring connector. Other than those items I believe the engines are the same.

Just checked my records and the L59 comes with 33# injectors versus the LM7 25#'ers. That will actually take you pretty far with performance mods, if any are planned.

The LM7/L59 are both 325Ci. They're the same except for what Speartech said.

I wanted to use my wires on this L59 motor. Will my LM7 fuel injector connectors connect to the larger injectors?

The LM7 computer will work fine with the L59 but you'll have to have it reprogrammed for the larger injectors.

The LM7 injector connectors will NOT fit the flex fuel injectors. The easiest solution might be to get a set of stock LM7 injectors as they would be cheap if you get them used on this board.

So it would be best to use my LM7 intake and fuel injectors on this L59 motor. That sucks that I will not be able to take advantage of the larger injectors. Will my LS1edit solve any of these issues with this different style engine?
