Default ?s about fuel system

I have a stock 4.8L with the Dynatech Supermaxx kit, Flowmaster muffler and a K&N FIPK. I just pick up a Procharger kit with the D!SC headunit. I am planning on runing different injectors, fuel pump, and obviously a tune.

I know many people suggest 42lb marine(I think) injectors, but I see ASM sells 43lb injectors and Allen (Nelson)says he has 44lb injectors he sells. What would be better? Currently the supercharger has the stock pulley(I think), measures 3.75" with a tape, that should be good for 8-10psi. I don't really plan on making much more boost than that, but who knows.

Also, as far as a fuel pump, I am sure I need to go with a 255lph. Which is better though, a intank or a inline pump. I know the inline is easier to install, but I have installed an intank on my mustang and it wasn't that hard either. Any suggestions on which pump to use, intake or inline? Any help is appreciated.

No matter where you get the injectors from they are all the same one's I believe, I don't really understand why different places classify them as 42,43, and 44 but I do believe that they are all the same which are the Multec II's.

As far as the fuel pump goes I just did an inline Walbro 255lph just because it was very simple so which ever way you wanted to go with it would work fine.

Yep, they are all the same injectors so get them where ever you can get the best deal. As for the fuelpump, I would personally rather have a 255 intake rather than an inline that has to pull the fuel thru your stock pump.

What intank pumps are good? Also, do the injectors just swap out, or does a harness, new fuel rail, or anything like that have to be made/modified?

For the fuel pump, most are using the Walbro 255. The bucket will need to be slightly modified to fit securely in there but it is a fairly easy swap from what I have read. I will hopefully be swaping mine out in the next few weeks.
Any MueltecII injector will be a direct swap but sizes are limited. You can use the other long delphi, lucas, motron or SVO injectors but you will have to splice on new connectors and shim your fuel rail.

i put lucas #44 and 255 intank pump. the injectors will fit right in. the pump you will have to do a few mods but its not to bad. oh, use wd40 to lube the injectors when snapping them in.

These injectors should work fine then correct?
http://www.racetronix.com/17113739.html
Says direct fit for SUVs and as far as I know they are the same. Hows the price, $360.

And for the pump, I thought I saw someone using some holley pump. Is it still suggested to stick with the walbro? Didn't someone do a writeup on it...

yes on the injectors, yes on the walbro, and yes someone did post pics on how to do it. the only thing i would do different is don't cut the wires. take the connections out off the plug and change them. good luck!
