Yes i did get mine replaced under warranty after i made a stink
What i would do is get them recoated before even thinking about installing them in my truck
the rust actaull comes from underneath the coating I think the metal they use it ****
combined with the coating not being the best

I would think that the SuperMaxx headers don't rust since they are stainless. I even think that you can get them without the cats and y-pipe.

Stainless will rust too ... it takes a lot more to rust it, but they will rust eventually.

My TOG's weren't rusted when I took them off the old truck. I got them coated by a local shop and they still look good from the coating now. They have some build up from the road on the collectors, but they still look good I think. The TOG's are nickel coated so they won't rust at all. They did turn a rainbowish color like they got hot, but sicne they are headers, it's understandable that they did get hot.

I dunno about nice and cool ... you do still have 8 hot fires in there, but I think the TOG's are nice and I don't think you will be dissappointed with them even after a year old. I would get them coated though. Uncoated they made mine run pretty rich.

I used to live not too far from AS&M a few years back. I had MAC headers for a 98 WS^ ceramic coated locally, in Tempe, by Jet Hot and never had any issues with rust on them. They looked awesome when removed 2 years later and 30K miles. I don't understand why AS&M wouldn't use the local connection and have them done right.
