I have 1.8 Harland Sharp on my 6.0, they even fit under the stock valve covers.

1.85's will work on LQ4's but not on LQ9's....it is a P-to-V clearance issue due to the flat-tops that are in the LQ9. As far as I know 1.8's will work on both motors

That's interesting... I never heard that about the LQ9's... Is that with factory cams, or aftermarket?

I'm looking to run 1.89's on my .530 cam... on a higher compression head setup.

I *think* it is with any cam over .550 lift....I read that info quite a few months back when I was looking at 1.85 rockers so i'm not 100% certain on that lift number but I know I'm pretty close

So, actually the 1.85's WILL work with the stock cam in the LQ9...but you WILL have to upgrade springs

So if I use my 1.8 rockers with the 047 Vinci Cam I am going to have a problem? With that combo the lift will be about 551. I have never heard this before.

I said I was not 100% certain on the exact lift number.....

The problem is because if the flat-top pistons that are used in the LQ9.....no other LS1 truck motor comes stock with flat-tops, all of the guys running big-lift cams have to fly-cut flat-top pistons to clear the valves, on a stock non-flat-top piston there is ~.200 of relief cast into the piston so valve clearance isn't an issue

put some clay on the top of the piston and gently roll it over...then you'll know how much p/v clearance you got...and if it stops and wont roll anymore, you aint got no clearance
