Default Rocker, valve cover clearance w/cam

I have 1.8 Harland Sharps on my SS, When I tighten down the left side cover just a little too much the #3 exhaust hits the cover, If I add a cam with more lift is this going to cause the rest of them to hit? I want to install a 216/220 or 212/218. I also heard more cubic inches more cam, thats way I am leaning towards the 216/220.It looks like alot of the 5.3 guys say they wish they had more cam with the 212/218, so I figured 216/220 for the 6 liter. What do you guys think? The 216/220 will have 555/563 with the 1.8 rockers. Or just get rid of the rockers and go back to stock.
