Rings are blown, 6.0 time need help

rated at 300fwhp, they have been known to dyno in the 290rwhp range and that is thru 4l80e trannys and tcases most of the time too. seems like i dyned 290 with a cut out and udp intake.

so there is only like a 10-20 hp difference from the 5.3? is it really worth the swap?

i just want a good daily driver thats fast, and can still pull a trailer .

LQ9 is very underated at 300hp,with a cam and headers it should make about 330rwhp.Add the Whipple and you are at 400+rwhp.

also,, for the guys who have done the 6.0 swap,,, do i have to tear teh whole front end off my truck,, or can i remove teh 5.3, install the tranny without troubles?

You only want a 01 or newer 6.0 so the transmission will boltup.If the 6.0 came with a 4L80E transmission you remove the flywheel and spacer and bolt on your flywheel to make everything line up.

i would say there is more like a 30-50hp diference between a 5.3 and lq4. then theroreticly the 6.0 should respond to mods better too.
