I have a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab Z71 with a 5.3 V8.
I just put on true duals with 2.25 inch piping with two flowmaster 40 series mufflers. But it sounds like ****. Very quiet and raspy. My V6 with the same exhaust was louder.
I want the loudest and deepest exhaust I can get What should i do?

true duals with dynomax bullets and have an x-pipe installed.

The x-pipe wont make it lounder but will blend the pulses and change the tone a little. A larger diameter pipe will also give you a little more noise at the expence of exhaust velocity.

Ditto! Damn things are loud, but they sound great!

I have 3" piping. Lost a little low end but nothing to bad. But its got a low rumble. Sounds great.
