Default Replacement muffler

What is a good replacement muffler for the stock exhaust? i have a 2002 pickup that is tuned and the cats removed. I'd like to put something on that doesn't drone but sounds better.

I use the pickup for just about everything and had a muffler on there to replace the stock one and it droned at highway speeds and drove me nuts pulling a trailer. Plus was a bit raspy without the cats.

Looking for something that will sound good with a deep rumble, but not annoying loud or any in cab drone. So what would you recommend? i was thinking magnaflow always makes pretty good mufflers that sound good and they probably have one with a offset like the stock muffler.

Just put this Magnaflow #11219 on my truck today. I had a race series with a turndown in front of the axle. The drone was crazy, but I tolerated it for two years. I finally got fed up with it a couple of weeks ago. So the race series/turndown got hacked off and the above listed muffler installed, and carried the tail pipe over the axle for about another 8-12 inches. No drone, but sounds good when I hit the skinny peddle.

thank you for the advice. I'm curious, are you running cats?

It seems like exhausts are a lot more raspy and a tendency to drone with out cats.

I just installed a cherry bomb vortex on my truck, it sounds like the flowmaster 40 but a little deeper tone and no drone at highway speeds. 70-75 mph I think it sounds better and flows way better. I have headers and high flow cats.

Yes, I'm still running the factory cats. I will measure my case length tomorrow and make sure I posted the correct part#.

Yep, I posted the wrong part number. My muffler is the 18" body, correct part #11249. I was really pleased with it yesterday. I drug a 16' trailer around all day with my RZR on it. Drone wasn't even noticeable, at least compared to what I had a few days ago. Much better sound, and I can hear my radio now.
