I went to check my air filter -- I removed the airbox screws, and the hose clamp on the throttle body. I rotated the system upwards to slide the filter out, and I could feel the two halves of the tube flex. I removed everything, and found sections of the tube didn't bond too well, or the glue let go. I didn't use too much force or anything like that. It's been below 0 lately, so that may have been a part of it.

What type of glue or expoxy can I use on this to repair it? I don't know the type of plastic that's used here, and I don't want to use something that'll attack it.

I haven't heard back from UPD on this yet.

If you dont mind a different colot glue. Go to Wal-Mart and get some "Gorilla Glue". This stuff will bond ANYTHING!!! Or I would think a good super glue clear gel would do the trick. You can just hold the parts together and lay a bead right on the seem. i noticed mine was starting to come apart also. Must be a clear UPD thing.

 

My clear UPD came apart at the seam about a year ago. I contacted UPD to ask them what glue to use on it. They sent me a new tube and I sent them the original back. Haven't had any problems since. Maybe they will be warranty it for you. If you do not want to go through the hassel I would imagine an epoxy like Devcon should bond it for you. It is clear and comes in a syringe type two part applicator. You should be able to pick it up at just about any K-mart or Wal-mart type store. 5 minute epoxy is what it is called.

 

some double/bubble will work wonders for you.. its what we use on the A-10.. its made by Hardman.
