But Here goes... Throw your hpp3 on ebay and buy a Predator. You won't believe the difference, it'll drive like a totally different truck.

Question - When the Predator "tune" is loaded, is the torque management (or traction control system) disabled by default? Or does some parameter have to be enabled/disabled to disable the torque management?
I have downloaded the Predator manual and read through it...nothing was mentioned about disabling torque management.
Thanks for pointing me in the correct direction!

I serously doubt it was that same moment the comparison was made. Altitude, weather condition and track conditions play a big role.

Shark and vortec350...Macadayear was talking about me but he is incorrect with the times.
I have it on video if you want to see it.
I ran at LACR one hot summer night. It is at 4000ft. elevation and the temp was in the high 90s...at 9pm at night
I took off the HPP3 program when I got there. This was when my truck was bone stock...373s and open diff, etc. all stock.
I put the HPP3 in and ran again.
I went from a 17.6 stock (yea slow, but look at elevation and temps)
to a 16.4 with JUST the HPP3. This is no bullshit, if you really want I'll post both of the runs.
Then, I went to Carlsbad and ran, I had put in the 4.10s and posi since then, everything else the same, with HPP3 on 93 octane tuning
I ran a 15.4 @ 88MPH. Elevation: Sealevel, Temp: ~75-80 F
I have it all on video and the time slips to prove it...no bullshit here

typically don't expect those kinds of gains with an hpp3, going from 17.x to 16.x is quite a jump, both are slow and don't show any real huge gain. your best bet is LS1 edit if you want to do away with TQM. i'm not sure that your soft launches have anything to do with tqm since it only works during shifts, but maybe a stall, slicks, and a set of gears would make your launches a bit more fun.

The tune that come with a predator doesn't remove TM completly, you have to ask them to remove it in a custom tune. I have a tune made by johan@diablosport.com and the tranny shifts way harder now.

the tires is what you want then you need the custom program
