Default Removing the Sway Bar and Seats

Who all has done this? My truck is in the sig. I got a showdown with a certain cammed 4.8 Wed. night and it looks like I might need all the help I can get. The front sway bar looks pretty easy to pull at the track, but has anyone noticed if that really helped their traction? I'd like to be able to drop my hitch/spare/tailgate, but in the past I would loose traction big time with them all off and swaybar on. BTW I have the stock suspension.

What about the passenger seat in a RC? How much of a PITA is it to remove, and how much does it weigh?

Getting scared?

We didn't get the cam done last night, but we're going to try to get 'er done tonight. I'll have to let you know the outcome tomorrow!

Don't get all nervous now...relax and just let it happen!

Pulling the sway bar helps on my T/A and on my Mustang. I doubt it would hurt your traction at all so I would try it.

LOL!
I gotta try and get my win while I can, if I can! With your plans you'll be smoking me big time soon. Plus I'd like to try and squeeze out a 14.7 stock with my recent free mods and weight redux!

How about it, anyone know if they dropped their ET by pulling the sway bar and seats? I'm looking to make a glory run cause I am several months away from any mods.

Well I pulled the whole damn thing last night and I'm driving around today with it off. I'll find out tonight how much of a difference it makes with traction in the 1/4. Handling isn't too bad without it, just remember to go slower around corners that what you normally would.

Oh yeah, the sway bar and end links combined weighed in at 25lbs total. Took about 20 mins to pull it all off. I especially like the fact that I got that weight off the front end too.

On my T/A I yanked the whole thing for weight savings and I still handle fine around town.

On the truck I am not sure about running without it 24/7. We dont handle the bes as is LOL. So it would probably be a track only mod for the truck.

BigKid,I remove it completly at home.

S.R.Again,you think it was easy taking it off wait until reinstalling it PITAss!(at least on my truck as low as it is)

Parish, for some reason the 4x4's sway bar is alot lighter.Seem's like it would be the other way around.
