Default remove intake evap?

Has anyone or can you remove the valve cover evap(or whatever its called) to the intake? after removing my intake for a rebuild it was bad inside. like a 1/4 of oil.

Also anyone know of a hidden possible vac leak area on the intake itself, I have LTFT asking 20% on bank 2 or could this be a long tube header issue that is tacked in for tuning. sprayed water around intake gasket nothing, swapping o2s today to check but the log looks good.?.

Thanks
J

Year of the truck or vehicle???

It could still be the intake gasket. They dont always leak on the top side.

The valve cover to intake is a PCV. Some guys run to a catch can to collect the oil.

Then likely not the intake it self unless it's been off before.

It is possible the header is sucking in air on that side if you have a leak.

If it sat for a long period of time it's possible the injector's maybe clogged limiting fuel flow..

Im studying the the log a bit here.... looks like all the fueling data is constitant on both banks its just calling for more, the o2s are from the original manifolds. I started the burb with open headers and the O2 were going insane. I have a ls9 cam and the pacesetters longtubes 3" on a really good tune. The o2 data looks constistant but every once in awhile the bank 2 drops to 45 and bank 1 holds in the 830s. Then the fuel trims almost reset to normal then jump right to the 15-20%. I did have a bank 2 lean DTC code pop once, and is in history but not sure if its from open header start. I did clear it but it hasn't pop the code. the o2 swap is happening today (fingers crossed)

I like the catch can idea. what a mess. I can only imagine the toll it takes on the life of a motor.

Sounds like the 02 might be going bad.
